Developing and maintaining evidence-based reporting guidelines is a time-consuming and complex process. For example, constant monitoring of the literature is required and potentially useful studies need to be assessed and critically appraised to gauge their relevance. Similarly, to develop well-thought-out evaluations also requires specific expertise, time and resources. To develop effective dissemination strategies can be a costly exercise, as well. CONSORT does not currently have enough funding to fully support its activities.
Sponsoring CONSORT can be done through donations and/or supporting specific CONSORT activities.
To monitor the literature, keep the CONSORT Statement up-to-date, and continue efforts to disseminate the work of the CONSORT Group requires funds that are usually very difficult to obtain. If you would like to donate to the CONSORT Group, please contact us. All donations, regardless of the amount, are gratefully accepted. As it is said, every penny helps!
Some organizations interested in donating to the CONSORT Group may be specifically interested in donating to specific CONSORT activities. This donation might take the form of a sum of money, or an offer to carry out a specific task, such as monitoring and evaluating new and potentially useful studies to inform the evidence base of the CONSORT checklist.
If your organization would like to support CONSORT by fiscally donating funds for a specific task or by offering to carry out a task of the CONSORT Group, please contact us. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
All sponsors are acknowledged on our website.
Thank you for considering supporting CONSORT.
