Resources

The CONSORT group has provided a number of resources in order to aid those in the process of using the CONSORT Statement to help facilitate your work.

The EQUATOR Network is an overarching reporting guideline initiative aimed at Enhancing the Quality and Transparency Of heath Research. Resources for authors, editors, and guideline developers (among others) are available on the website. The EQUATOR Network Library archives over the 250+ reporting guidelines that have been published for various types of research/study designs.

The SPIRIT (Standard Protocol Items: Recommendations for Interventional Trials) initiative provides high-quality standards for trial protocols, helping to streamline their development and reporting.

The TIDieR checklist is an extension extension of the CONSORT 2010 statement (item 5) and the SPIRIT 2013 statement (item 11).

The References include the full list of references from the CONSORT website and CONSORT checklist, but excludes some references from the extensions. In the text where it is located the reference is linked to all of its information, and alternatively the location of each reference's use is also correlated on the References page.

The Glossary contains a long list of terms pertaining to the procedure of a randomized controlled trial (RCT). Longer entries are collapsed, but you can toggle them open by simply clicking anywhere on the entry.

The Useful Links section directs you to the websites of organizations that are working intimately with the CONSORT group or that are a good source of information in the completion of a randomized trial. If there are any other links that you would like to recommend please contact us.
